Brushing two times a day with Fluoride toothpaste and an electric toothbrush is recommended by the American Dental Association. Electric toothbrushes help you time each quadrant of your mouth for 30 seconds per, i.e., inside lower, outside lower, inside upper, and outside upper. These are the best electric tooth brushes as tested by Consumer Reports: the Oral Bs and the Phillips Sonicare. That is not to say you shouldn’t floss as well to get in between the teeth. You can also add swishing with a non-alcohol mouthwash. If you have implants, you might ask your hygienist what they recommend for your daily care.
Along with brushing twice a day, follow these steps to keep your mouth healthy:
 Floss once a day.
Drink plenty of water. If there’s fluoride, it may lower the risk of cavities
Eat a healthy diet and limit sugary food and drinks.
Use mouthwash after brushing and flossing.
Get a new toothbrush every 3 to 4 months.
See a dentist regularly for cleanings and checkups.
