There’s no doubt about it–the summer heat can be exhausting.  The sun’s rays can also make an otherwise enjoyable ride uncomfortable or, worse, can lead to days of a red and painful sunburn with bigger health consequences years later. Now there’s a solution for keeping cyclists & horse lovers cool, comfortable, and UPF50+ protected while still allowing riders to wear their helmets.

Da Brim® helmet visors are now available to Canadian bike & equine dealers through www.ecomerchant.ca.   “We are thrilled to bring our UPF50+ helmet visors directly to the Canadian market and look forward to helping riders overcome the sun’s intense rays.” Says co owner Teresa Bryan.

Here are some buyers comments:

Review by Troy Stabenow

“You can’t appreciate the effects of taking 360-degree shade with you all the time until you try it. Also, the hat directs the wind down over my neck. SOOOOOOO much better. Every friend I’ve ridden with who has seen it in use is now getting one….I have done descents on bumpy gravel, into a wind, at around 45 mph and although I can feel the wind on the Da Brim, it doesn’t move at all.” 7/10/20

“Who should buy this: People who like to ride their bike comfortably and be easily seen. I paired  Da brim to a florescent yellow helmet, and it is VERY noticeable. Fellow cyclists and pedestrians look at me either with smiles, or I might get a comment from a road biker on my fashion sense (both positive, neutral, and derisive). Drivers can’t miss me, as I see their eyes following me – Da Brim is not ordinary looking and it is so bright. Overall, this accessory is a huge win.” 1/23/21

My wife got this and it is very nice quality and well made… overall, for touring I think Da Brim is great and I must admit I may end up with one when I accept that protection from sunburn and skin cancer are more important then my vanity… 3/14/21

Da Brim® visors are available as a full-brimmed (Classic and Sporty) or front visor only (Rezzo) version.  The Classic model, available since 2012, is the broadest brim and offers the best sun protection, while the Sporty is a smaller version of the Classic and offers improved performance for faster riders. A small stabilizer accessory purchased makes Da Brim ideal for recumbent cycle riders too!

The Rezzo’s unique 2-piece system offers infinite adjustability and added venting, so whether the sun is high in the sky or low on the horizon, the Rezzo can help reduce glare and keep the rider comfortable by increasing air flow.  All visors offer UPF50+ sun protection and also shed water, perform well in winds, and stay securely in place without the use of glues or other adhesives. Da Brim is great for everyday cruising, touring, jumping and training. Da Brim retails in can for $65-80.00 excluding tax & postage.
