Retirement Travel

For educators, retirement marks the culmination of years spent nurturing young minds and fostering a love of learning. While the freedom and well-deserved break are welcome, a lingering thirst for knowledge and exploration often remains.

Road Scholar, a non-profit educational travel company, understands this. That’s why they’re offering two exclusive program dates open only to retired educators and their guests. These unique journeys provide an opportunity to embark on an unforgettable adventure, explore breathtaking destinations, and connect with fellow educators who share a common passion for learning and exploration.

 Why Retired Teachers?

More than a quarter of Road Scholar’s participants are retired educators, a testament to the organization’s focus on lifelong learning and educational travel experiences. This shared passion for learning and understanding the world is what inspired the creation of these exclusive retreats. “As a teacher, I believe in lifelong learning, and the Road Scholar trips have fulfilled that need to continue learning about people and places,” says Cindy Sheets, a five-time Road Scholar participant from Missouri. “I’ve discovered that many of the participants are teachers or former teachers. Teachers seem to have a bond that goes beyond place and time, no matter what position or experiences we may have had. We just love to keep on learning, and doing it with others who have the same goal makes it even more enticing.”
