Research shows the use of computers and smartphones prolong cognitive function in seniors as they age. Seniors are now four to eight years mentally younger than they were ten years ago. WOW! As technology advances and time passes I’m sure we will continue to knock years off of our mental age.

IQ levels have been rising for decades because of better education, nutrition, and healthcare. Improvements in these areas have allowed people to pursue more intellectually invigorating activities, sharpening their minds and therefore scoring higher on IQ tests. Although IQ isn’t everything, having a sharp mind as you age can keep you doing the things you love longer.

Maybe all that is needed is a helping hand with instruction and a new exciting world can await and keep their minds active.
