Things Your Father Didn’t Tell You About Aging: All The Hidden Truths

It’s not only our mothers that left out important truths over the years. Our fathers are guilty of the same thing. It wasn’t just women that were surprised, it was men also. Quite often, men don’t want to admit to getting older so they justify truths with very good reasons. However, many times we have found these reasons don’t resemble the truth at all! So now a look at the other parent and here are some things your father may not have  told you about aging:

Tips From Dad:

  • Fathers quite often need help with a lot of things. They have a long to-do list and can’t get to half of the things on it. In some cases they don’t know how to do some of the things on their list!
  • Patience is a virtue. Sometimes we forget things. Sometimes we repeat ourselves and sometimes we just don’t understand.
  • You will sweat less as you age. This doesn’t mean you stop using deodorant.
  • The sun feels good but it isn’t great for aging skin. It warms our bones but we’re already wrinkled enough.
  • If you follow in our footsteps you’ll do something you love. Other people may think it’s strange but you’ll do it anyway.
  • Don’t pay attention to what others think. It’s what you think that matters.
  • Sometimes your mother was wrong.
  • Getting into trouble is not the big deal your mother makes it out to be.
  • At each juncture in life, find something positive about it.
  • Women can make it on their own but it’s nice to have a man around.
  • There is such a thing as a man being around too much.
  • A parent’s love for a child grows with age, both theirs and yours.
  • Learn another language and travel if you can. It builds you up.
  • Choose a faith and follow it.
  • Find humour in every crazy thing that happens.
  • Have faith in yourself.
